One of the biggest takeaways is how woefully deficient we have been with our defensive recruiting.
Is it 3 games now where we could have won had the D made some stops?
We just can't get consistent pressure on the QB and we can't afford to blitz much because our secondary is poor.

yeah I agree usually but turned out we couldn't stop them anyway. But if you have a defense with 3 TOs and 3:15 you kick.
I agree, just shows JJ knew our defense couldn't stop them.

when you sleepwalk through 2 quarters, you aren't going to win.

I think we can pretty much agree on that.

We should have had a couple of chances to throw down the field.
And ESPN should have done some research. This was not the first meeting of the two HCs

Yes - well at least your posts were rewarded with a win in Hoops. The game monday may help me forget this one.

You can't blame the refs because of two missed calls when you had three or for missed opportunities to put points on the board and I may be selling it short there.
Missed field goal: 3pts
TD negated by holding call: 7 points
Missed field goal again: 3 points
There's 10 points right there.
Der'Rick Thompson dropped pass on 3rd down when Cincy was up 21-10 that would have extended the drive into their territory.
Look in the mirror before you place blame on someone else.
I'm not even gonna talk about the D or lack of.

Well we failed the test. This was our midpoint opponent to see where our bowling chances would be. Houston or UCF unfortunately will be our deciding game. Even with <2 quarters of decent football, we should beat uconn or usf. Some of you will be surprise how I'm not ranting because I feel like SMU defense, checked out.

Gilbert completed over 80% for over 40 yards. He deserved better than that.
Of you had told me we held them to 28 I would have been confident we had won.
Now there is far less to play for. I hope the team can hold it together. Our D came up with 3 TOs, but couldn't stop the run.
Again, 1st and bloody 20? And we didn't even get them to third down.
There is also this. They hit a HR passing play. We missed one, and had one called back for a hold.
I would have rather been blown up today. To see a game we needed that we lost. Just like Rutgers.
I feel sick.
