You know what they say.....one man's trash is another man's treasure....bring him to SMU and let him set records while Miami gets smoked by Florida, Florida St. and Ga Tech.

If he is a big partier he won't be the first SMU QB with that reputation, just ask anyone aboout Don Meredith's reputation at SMU.

Let him hang on the 'vard and throw a few back before games.

Some Miami guy over on the ponystampede public board is painting quite a different picture of this guy - tons of raw talent, yes, but big partier, skipping team meetings and film sessions and classes, surrounded by cancerous parents/friends advising him poorly, etc.

Then I say bring him in. That sounds like a choir boy compared to what they were saying about Colt Brennan.

Exactly. JJ's specialty.

If he can play well and stay eligable, un-suspended, and un-arrested, I'm all for it. I dont' care what else he does off the field.

I thought the WDNWHA Committee already decided Marve was not a good fit here.

Still pending. We made a decission on the Gamble kid then we had to retract and have it also in pending. Of course as we said then, we knew it was a Gamble going into that one. Marve's case will be decided soon.

Looks like it's either USF or UCF for him.

Nice to be in the discussion, I guess, but I don't think he comes here.

Apparently, his father's illness is an important factor here.

I'm inclined to disagree. His family is from Tampa, he is allowed to go to a school in Tamp, or Orlando (which is closer than Gainesville according to Google Maps). He is upset because he isn't allowed to talk to UF, Tennessee, LSU, etc. That all makes me think that he isn't really concerned about being near his father.

Good point. I am sorry about his father's illness. But, it certainly sounds like a number of schools are (or have been) in play, regardless of geography.

note: to our WDNWHA committee--open up a file in anticpation of a future ruling.

Please note about 5 posts above where we did comment. A ruling is near.
