CAVAN?!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!???
I knew former PeeWee league football coaches who looked at Cavan era games and yelled "WHAT THE F ARE YOU DOING?!?"
You have lost ANY credibility with that statement, sir. I SAY, GOOD DAY!
Alan Shore: Yes, I know, I'll get letters...
"some people post yet know NOTHING about football..."
One irrational poster goes off on June and the team, and now everyone else is teeing off on the poster. If ever there was a thread screaming to be deleted, this is it.
why delete the thread?? it fairly exposes the OP for the fan that he is, NOT ONE... like another poster said, he lost all credibility he perhaps once had... "fans" like this are an epidemic on all fan boards and they need to get weeded out... this type of mentality is contagious and only get worse when the team hits a bump in the road...
and if he really is a fan, then id like to ask him, how much money you bet on SMU games?? and how much you lost???
Where do you guys think we would be if BLM didn't get injured? I love how JJ has turned the program around, but come on... It happened on a fluke. His stubbornness will be the end of us.

okay, that is the very reason a lot of hawaii fans turned on him.. i wont deny that, the man is as stubborn as it comes... but that same stubbornness got us to the sugar bowl... so

Yeah, he showed that when he went right back to BLM as QB, right?
Give me a break...garbage like this isn't even being critical - it's just stupid.
With all due respect to JJ, Cavan did have to recruit under much more severe restrictions than JJ. Would Shawnbrey McNeal have been admitted under the Cavan era? Probably not. And its not that he had a bad academic record, it was the red tape of that era. So, we're talking apples and oranges. JJ is known coach with a name that helps in recruiting. He knows what he wants to do to rebuild this program. And while he may like music that I don't like and while he seems to like Hawaiian shirts, I think he's a great coach who has lots of street cred. If he gets us on a solid foundation, then he can retire to the Islands to enjoy his well earned gains and we can keep moving onward and upward.
Talk about some serious overreaction bagice. The guy is in his second season and took arguably the worst program in America to a bowl game an at worst a .500 record. We return 9 of 11 starters on offense next year and I think the same number on defense. This team is going to be very solid for years to come. There is simply no need to react like this.
