We all know that TCU should win on Friday, but there is always a chance, and for anyone to say otherwise would make them, well, a TCU grad....

To pretend that TCU "dominates" SMU after a comparison of the Universities as a whole is laughable. As someone who grew up in Europe, a long way from either, I can tell you that no one has heard of TCU, and SMU garners serious respect....but anyway.

SMU has one of the finest arts schools in the country, we have oscar winners who went here, world renowned pianists and other musicians, dancers in all the best national companies. TCU is completely irrelevant when it comes to the arts.

SMU's business school has been one of the finest in the nation since before having crappy yellow-brick buildings was in style. TCU's business school isnt even as good as UTD's.

SMU has a law school. TCU doesn't.

SMU is now getting, regardless of what you think if him, a presidential library. TCU barely has a library.

And I seem to remember beating TCU's soccer team at least 8-0 a few years ago. If you look at the athletic departments as a whole, TCU could hardly be said to dominate. Perhaps you guys could try and unseat Texas Wesleyan as #1 ranked ping-pong team in the nation.....

And as for Friday, in the words of Kevin Keegan...."I will LOVE it if we beat them....LOVE IT!"

So here's a summary statement of this thread:

TCU fans think their program is so much better than SMU that they lower themselves to go on an SMU football board to try and one-up fans that they think are ignorant.

Is that about right?

Seems to me that some froggie fans have some self-esteem issues.

i will give TCU props on bob schieffer from cbs..he has done well and helped out that area of their school

With regard to the architecture at TCU, when I first saw their campus, my father asked, "who threw up"? I think that sums it up pretty well.

Are you really trying to argue that schools, ie. academic institutions, are not known for academics. What a strong argument. Bravo.

I guess you are really trying to say that the only reason someone would want to go to TCU is because of its football team, which I would have to agree with. It has no other redeeming qualities.

Thanks for proving my point. If we are supposed to talk strictly football, then do that and quit resorting to name calling. You are simply showing everyone that you have no class, and that you can't seem to string together an argument that actually makes any sense.

And as far as embarassing yourself, your team did that last year when they claimed that playing Boise again was beneath them, and then proceeded to lose.

If TCU beats SMU Friday, big deal. You are supposed to do that. But if TCU loses (much like in 2005), it will be proven yet again that the TCU program is still an outsider looking in on the BCS conferences. Good luck on Friday. If we are going to beat TCU, I want to do it when you guys are at your best.
