I don't know why people think tcu is dead set against us. Wouldn't they want us to get better and join a better conference to make the rivalry more meaningful? Improving their strength of schedule?

No. They will no longer have to worry about SOS if they are already in a BCS conference. The rivalry is already meaningful, as witnessed by a record-setting showing in our home stadium and an actual effort by the admin to show some support, i.e. the "Beat TCU" signs.
Again, they will not be dead-set against us if it helps their long range chances for BCS status, or maybe as the BE makes the tranisition to a more football-centric conference. Time will tell.
Frogalicious, guess which conference had the most invites to the NCAA soccer men's tournament? The BE. In fact, Louisville is the #1 seed. Soccer is a huge sport in the BE and SMU has made the elite 8 in that sport this year and has been to the Final Four twice already. SMU has put the resources into soccer that TCU put into baseball. That was a strategic choice. I suspect if an autobid conference came to us and said, we won't admit you unless you have a baseball team, there would be a baseball team in about 3 seconds. I am a bit surprised that TCU is not being forced to add men's soccer as a condition for joining the BE.
Heads up to SmooPower...really cool feature on that 'board...they have the ability to rate comments and each poster has a "reputation" based on the consensus of their peer's opinions of their posts.
