YES, June was a breath of fresh air, but I am just pointing out that he has not done much better than the coaches before him...Certainly not $2mill a year better. June very well could have been the right coach at the right time for us...BUt, we are never going to the next level with him. Be happy with 7 wins a year if you want.
We could and should do better.
I think JJ was the right coach at the right time, as the two consecutive bowl games show. Don't know how many times I have to keep saying this, but the $2M was not just for what JJ brings to the table but consider it a cost for those decades of losing because we didn't give a crap.
...I think most people thought JJ would be a great stepping stone, and so far that has been proven correct.
