With a 3.7 GPA, I don't think there will be a problem. This is very encouraging for the future of this program.

Not like he's been a hot commodity and we stole him. He's got a long way to go before he makes it big time. Not trying to take anything away from the awesome success he has had at smu, but he's been on our radar longer than other school's.
If you are talking about Coach Klemm, he has several accolades (one of the top recruiters in the country) and has had other BCS schools approached him because of such but he tuned them down from my understanding. The thought process is if he can do this at SMU what could he do at a BCS school. Don't think other schools are not aware of Coach Klemm's hard work. I would not take Coach Klemm for granted.

Live in Georgia now. Kid has talent and resides about 45 minutes down the Rd.
Mechanically he has a Marino-esque throwing motion and his strength is accuracy in the short and intermediate stuff. Although he has arm-strength, could really be something with improved footwork.

I heard he is really good on the long range passes as well. I thought you were in the Oregon area of the country.

I was. Recently took a faculty position at Berry College, a small liberal arts school in Georgia. Small is a relative term, campus is 26,000 acres.

yeah, its very encouraging. he generates enough power with deep ball accuracy to be effective on 20+ yards throws. if and when he cleans up that footwork and can up-tempo in this offense...watch out!
Printz physically at seventeen compares really well to former 22+ year old SMU recruits, Kevin Craft and Brent Rausch; he is also a more polished passer in high school than both were in college from a mechanics standpoint. Crafts footwork was better as he was used to his fathers hybrid WCO scheme. Rausch ended up going to hawaii, and got lost in the shuffle after a undisclosed injury to his throwing arm, ultimately losing the battle to current starting QB Moniz, mostly due to age. Craft ended up starting in spots for UCLA and was definitely talented. Many UCLA diehards i spoke with felt he had the most potential since Aikman (a stretch IMO), but feel Nuiheisel shattered his confidence and decision making ability. some remember his Craft as Jeckyl/Hyde, for playing the role of interception machine in the first half against UT in a game a few years ago, only to be efficient in the send half.
