So his friends brought him a lei. He could decline politely to wear it without being disrespectful. If your ex gives you a gift, it might be a good idea not to wear it in front of your girlfriend/wife.

I think the lei is awesome and I understand why he wears it...I really spend more time watching the game than concerning myself with our coaches' attire...but that's just me..

The lei sucks and he's not from Hawaii, just liked it there. There are about 2.7 million reasons he should take that garbage off and get on board w/where he decided to be. I'm glad he's showing respect to his visitor buddies, now if he'd only respect the school he reps and that pays him. I never ever want to see the Hawaii bowl again.
Think he would have worn the lei at Maryland, had he been offered that job? They would have ripped it off his neck and lit it on fire. You guys would bend over and grab your ankles for a crap bowl game.
