Someone explain to me how, long run, this is good for TCU in terms of wins and losses. Texas and OU will still have their pick of the best players. IMO they'll be competing with OSU, KState, and Tech every year for third place in the conference. Obviously lots of $$$ from B12 contract and sold out home games vs. Texas and OU (which I'm most jealous of- might as well expand that place to 55,000 now) but long run there's no way they can even come close to out recruiting Texas and OU on a regular basis.
Don't get me wrong, I'd do the exact same thing if I were in their shoes, but I just don't see them being as relevant nationally in football as they have been for the past few years.
... this is all hilarious, TCU get's to go back to being the red headed step child of a major conf again! whoooooo high-fives all around! congrats TCU you have succeeded in making back to where you were 20 years ago, and not further...you will suck, and like it becuase awwww you're in a big conf now! good on you!

You're screaming jealousy right now. You would be jumping up and down if we got invited to the Big 12
TCU was always going to get into the B12 before we did but it doesn't seem to me that it is any more stable as a result.
We'd all love to be in a BCS conference but maybe it will happen anyway.
And now for my fun prediction of the day. Steve O is aware that ND is about to take Louisvilles place in the BE and therefore add footballing stability to a move for SMU that already guarantees BB greatness....
Yeah, sucks, but we need to move on. We need to focus on the positives for SMU instead of some among us who are acting like whiny, jealous little b!tches. Our football fortunes have never been and are not now tied to TCU.
alright i have to put a disclaimer there, i would be happy, but i'd also know that our 8-9 win season would be out the door....i just find it especially ironic that basically they went from reverse to neutral int he grand scheme of things but they are acting like they just got an invite to the SEC, the place the Big 12 is in right now is not good

IMO this is really bad news. It eliminates any chance of us going b12-x and also negates the reason that the BE was interested in us. There is no way a CUSA-MWC merger is going to be made AQ. Our admin failed to get the best university sold to the buyers.
