Not saying I agree about taking him, but HC at SMU is far better (opportunities, wealth, overall potential) than Cougar High.

Coach Jones loves us. He is not going anywhere except to his third bowl game in a row at the school no body thought would ever rise from the ashes. Oh hail to the dear coach! Stay with us and experience the greatness that stands in our future.

what is so bad about these things now is that any hack can say something, and it starts become real like some joker a.m. radio jockey saying something, then it hits the interwebs on facebook and twitter, and someone like laken starts asking recruits about it (18 year olds who have no media coaching) then it starts to take root. now the DMN reporting it, but doesn't cite ANY credible source i.e. Jones, Orsini, any official from ASU, or anyone directly connected.

That was a total leak to DMN from Junes staff. It's written exactly like he would want it presented.

Dutch are you reading the posts by recruits-they are conceding that June Jones has left open the doors to leaving if a better job comes open. They are not saying that June Jones has denied the reports. There seems to be some validity to the "leaks" as you call them. I don't think he'll get a decent offer and I bet he stays but the well is being poisened. If there wasn't anything there I would hope that would be clearly communicated and repeated by recruits

If June turns down an offer from ASU, don't you think that would be something that he could use to his advantage in recruiting against the Pac 12 teams?

"I turned down a major Pac 12 School - so should you".

Hopefully June will make a public statement he is not going anywhere, next week.
