was that guy drunk on the air?
That was Elvin Hayes. I mentioned earlier that he needs a non-speaking gig.

I wonder how the tiebreakers work in the event of a 3-way tie for last. It probably will be 2 since Tulane and ECU meet next Saturday.
This scoring is also deceiving because more than half of the shots are 3s. Thats brutal. Nice to see how we got owned on the boards again.

at least you recognize this as irrational; watching the 2 full unit substitutions, surely you can see how much better Frog runs the offense. Of course, it helps that he's playing with Rob & Cotton, but Ryan is forcing the ball to the hole when he should be dishing more and getting everyone involved. I'd still like to see both of them on the floor together running more high screen, pick & roll stuff. We just don't have the shooters to be throwing the ball around the perimeter and jacking up threes. I say that even after we shot pretty well on treys last night

He's symbolic of low major basketball on the hilltop, no matter what he's doing game to game. I just can't stand watching the kid, can't stand it. Last year was a mirage, that Spring '10 recruitment of a PG was the end

The kid plays his heart out and doesn't deserve a swipe me...but I agree, it makes me cringe to watch him play. I'm not sure I would lose too much sleep if he decided to pursue a new and exciting opportunity elsewhere after this year.
He definitely plays very hard, and his effort is never in question. He's been serviceable for two years running, I just want so much more out of my PG, especially defensively & w/regards to getting in the lane. Aesthetically, and I hate to say this, he makes us look so small time

Everybody remember what their initial reaction was when his signing was announced? I don't deny his passion and effort, but an upgrade at PG is needed.
And I'm just not sure if Manuel's struggles are a combination of him being a Fr and the learning curve and Doherty just not developing his game to where he can get to another level.
I maintained that Doherty needed 2011-12 to sink or swim with this roster. Currently we have no life vest in the middle of the ocean.

There IS no development of players is the problem..they will need to development over the off season and work on the weak components of their game then. During the season there really is limited time to do anything else other than prepare for the game plans.....such as they are.

meanwhile, back to the game. Houston announced over 5k in attendance. Must have had bad camera angles for the internet feed, because it looked more like 500

Doherty has NEVER developed players. 1 year at Notre Dame, 3 years and a player revolt at UNC, and 1 year at FIU. I still don't understand why we ever hired him.
