whatever the numbers SMU is the only school in Texas that brags that the visitors only had 30% -40% +in their own stadium. The idea is to sellout and leave the visitors with only their alottment which is what we get anytime we go to TCU, Baylor, A&M, Tech and lately UH. TCU has been bringing 10,000 plus for a decade and that's a result of pathetic SMU fan support that can't sell out its own small stadium for big games. That's the Bottom Line. Expect a bunch of excuses tonite.

Yep.
And by good that would be 10-2, 11-1 for 4-5 years in a row. Yknow, exactly what Craig James said whenever we had that Thursday game v UAB on ESPN.
And to stallion, wasn't bragging. Stating the way it was, and if as froggie said that was pachall's memory of Ford, that was a hell of an atmosphere. Now if Casey was in the house for ucf last year or wash st the yest before, I'd agree w that

Agree on both points. I'm not even really looking forward to this game because its going to be such a blowout. The disparity in talent level is unreal. It's a shame that the defense has to do so much work and is gassed by the beginning of the second half.

maybe we should paint maryjane leaves on the fronts of our helmets. That would obviously confuse Pachall.

Your Mind is Kontrolled... Don't you realize the error in your thinking and the negetive effect your statement makes if your goal is to support and lift up your school and team to a higher level?

how would it confuse him? I think this might be an awkward attempt at some sort of humor, but it is lost on me.

Why go to a SMU game unless you can get a guaranteed win over a BCS school?

JD- I think the issue is that after 5 yrs and many millions of $ we aren't even close to being competitive with even lower level BCS teams. I think most of the mustang nation would have been at least satisfied if we had had close games - not major blowouts.

The flaw in the logic is the SMU assumption that money buys BCS busters. What logic would indicate SMU should be competitive with BCS schools even with unlimited alumni with excess money to try to force their will.
Jones came to SMU for the challenge not the money and therein lies the big rub with SMU... Values and Gods.. a real disconnect..

Recruiting buys BCS Busters, simple as that JD. JJ has the same philosophy that kids need to come to him, doesn't work.

You are very naive if you don't think the money was part of the reason he came to SMU.
As for your comments on buying respectability, when you pay a coach over 2 mil, you should expect to be competitive. One would certainly expect not to be blown out by non top twenty five teams.
