It will be really interesting to see what happens at A&M with those guys. Something tells me they will have immediate impact, followed by problems on and off the court.

Since they are a P5, the NCAA is going to lay down the hammer on some other team for what goes on in College Station...

'15 West Charlotte PF & #SMU target Simeon Carter tells @Patrick_Engel94 he'll visit Temple next. Details on his decision date on @SMUScout.
I think it'll be either Temple or SMU. We really need bigs.

Our future is bright unless the NCAA closes the curtain

Thank gosh for our football program. (wait, what?).
The more I dig into bball, the dirtier I find it. Just crazy. And I blame the NCAA with all it's BS posturing about "student athletes". They want the big bucks, but they also try to preserve this myth that hasn't been a reality for at least 30 years. So, it opens it up for all these snakes to get into the "system".

I've always said college hoops is dirtier than football. The AAU circuit is especially slimy. It's a shame, there's a lot of great AAU coaches out there who help kids get better on the court and off the court as a person, but for every one of those good coaches there's some snake handler who sees a 16 year old kid as his next meal ticket and is pimping him out to programs for kickbacks from boosters

1) I think the point about the bigs is that it is better to have a good player than just a tall thug who is a rim protector. LB will take the player every time. If we don't find the right guy, we aren't spending the scholarship. Remember LBs quote when he got here about us picking up the other team man from the airport. A guard oriented team with mobile, physical players inside is what LB wants, and that is what we are closer to next year (although we are going to suffer from the experience loss and will struggle early).
2) Reading Stallion call out hoopmanx for hating and not being a true alumni reminds me of something.... oh, yeah, everyone shouting at Stallion for being more of a tech fan than an SMU fan and not donating to the mustang club 8 years ago or so. Pot meet the Kettle, Kettle meet the Pot.

"Not feeling sustainable yet" is the quote of the month from hoopmanx. My feelings exactly. LB health? NCAA bs? Very worried right now.

Things look good. Three years ago nobody would have guessed, without being drunk or on drugs, that we'd be where we are today. We're now playing with house money regarding Brown. Renew (or add) seats, support the program, and fight through the tough years. We have the fan base to carry a top notch program.

I don't think Larry or Doh ever recruited a "thug" to my knowledge whatever that is suppose to mean. Of the bigs LB is recruiting I do not see any "thugs" or "stiffs"(meaning unathletic) in the bunch. If Kennedy does not come back I think we might have to play a game of chance with the graduating seniors with one year of eligibility left. And as we know know that can be a crap shoot plus any sanctions given will make it harder to recruit anyone. I would have really liked to have had Diamond Stone but he never had the high interest in SMU and we did not make his top 10 cut even though he visited Moody. Just have to see have everything plays out over the next couple of months.
