Well, if Aggy is to be believed...

He can land a better job.
Briles was believed to be the highest paid Big12 coach. There's not whole lot of better options for a TX guy.

Doug Meacham is listed #2
If SMU could replace Chad Morris with Doug Meacham, would we?, Answer is an obviously, resounding NO.
IMO, Chad is likely on their Top 5 list.
Herman will wait for greener pastures.
Question is would Chad accept the job or will he also wait for greener pastures.

Well, as Briles said when recruiting some thugs who had been dismissed from other schools, every one deserves a second chance, don't they?

And for all those about to pontificate, that's a question/statement from the provider of that $10-a-month information.

Baylor already has a pretty nice IPF so he would not have to beg for one there.
IPF will be announced May 31. Right guys?

Done deal, next week

That tells you my opinion of Herman right now, especially given the shaky status at College Station & Austin.

First, I kind of feel bad for Bennett. We didn't give him a choice and stuck him with the interim title on a sinking ship. Now he is stuck with this disaster, at least until they hire the next head coach.
Second, they are going to have trouble hiring anybody because of the investigation. I don't think anyone who isn't desperate would step into that job. I'd expect to see someone named as a short-term solution who has been out of coaching for a little while. If Herman or Morris have any confidence what-so-ever in their coaching ability, they wouldn't touch that job with a ten foot pole right now.
Congrats to Baylor for making the results of the investigation public and taking immediate action. This will allow them to enact the changes necessary and make sure the problems do not happen again.

Yes. And he wouldn't have to worry about rape allegations at SMU as we have never prosecuted anyone since 1911 on campus
Chad is kind of in purgatory anyways but don't think for a second...

Why would Herman touch that mess when he is going to win big again this year, and literally have the choice of any job he wants in the country.
Morris won't want to be associated with that mess either, and he's headed to A&M in 2 years as we all know anyways.

For once Footballdad makes sense.
Morris isn't going anywhere near Waco now.

100% right. I've yet to see any of these paranoid folks make a coherent case as to WHY Morris would actually prefer that job over his current one. Everybody needs to chill out and focus on poaching some (non-rapist) players.

gotta give Baylor some credit, they really stepped up and said enough is enough. Can't imagine any recruits stick with them, and some of their underclassmen have to be thinking of transferring right now. No interim guy like Bennett can stop that, they need a real head man in there immediately. Singletary is perfect and the only option that makes any sense whatsoever. they have to hire him tomorrow literally.
