I'll take anywhere of course, but Sacramento would be pretty low on my list of first weekend site options...

I understand it is a tough trip for those on the East Coast to make on short notice, but seeing SMU play an NCAA tournament game (or two) in my hometown would almost be magical.

Nothing wrong with Sacramento at all. Cool city to visit for a couple of days. Plus, if you have to stay somewhere else, SF is only an hour and a half drive away.

Looking at it from a travel perspective more than anything - definitely prefer it to Buffalo! Tulsa, Indy or Orlando would be pretty easy I think. Will be there regardless - Louisville wasn't super easy but not terrible. As long as we aren't in First Four - that's where it gets nearly impossible to go (if we win to get in), as really only have one day's notice.

if we get through a round you get Gonzaga in Sacto - that would be a tough draw.

Chickens being counted early here. Get through the next week with W's and I will feel MUCH better.

What's more surprising is Joe has SMU seeded higher than USC.

Why is that surprising? There are 77 brackets on the bracket matrix right now and it looks like about 20 of them have USC seeded higher than SMU.

So the other 57 all seed SMU higher than USC?

The teams are close (http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketb ... on/SMU/USC). I figured a higher RPI and head-to-head win would give USC an advantage. But hey, we are only in the middle of January!
