Coaching staff really needs to lock this guy down. With all the 11th hour coaching changes, someone is going to pressure him before signing day

Here's a video of Tamerik's 3 running TDs this week--I'm about as excited about him as any player we've recruited in awhile except maybe Charlie Brewer. Size, speed, quickness and seems like a great yes sir no ma'am kid. Steal

DB Cameron Phillips' Clear Lake was eliminated from the playoffs this week but in prior week he made a 4th down stop that sealed the victory-nice hit

I assume the coaching changes at prime landing spots are going to be resolved within the next week or two and if Chad leaves, I guess we will find out at early signing date which of these kids is truly committed to SMU and not just Chad Morris

How many decommitments do we have so far? I haven't followed recruiting very much this cycle but seem to remember we had a 4 star committed early on. Am I imagining it?

No one that is going to hurt. Here's the list-nobody for a long time. Kemon Smith is listed but later recommitted. Jaymar Jeter was replaced by Tamerik Williams who is averaging about 13-14 yards per carry and might be our Top recruit. The other "decommit" Jarron Morris committed but his commitment wasn't honored because another kid committed a couple of days before he did. Last year we had our greatest class in 3 decades but got hit hard by the late decommits when the UT/Baylor jobs were filled late in state. About 4 of those kids are already starting or earning substantial minutes at other schools. Hopefully, now that we have reached a Bowl we can hold onto recruits better-but its been hitting the top AAC schools in recent weeks because they are getting P5 level recruits. Example: USF (6) and UCF (4)

TE David Priebe, QB William Brown and Christian Jones also were graded up on 247Sports although they were all already 3 stars

The kid who should jump the most is RB Tamerik Williams

Tamerik Williams with 3 maybe 4 TDs in a 56-14 Angleton victory tonite over CC Flour Bluff including a 45 yard TD. Dominate team winning every playoff game by 40-50 points. SMU recruit Tamerik Williams overshadowing Texas No. 1 prospect UT commit B.J. Foster-that's pretty uncommon-we've got the biggest steal in Texas in Tamerik

Average score this year 55-5

Tamerik Williams (No. 21) can block too-here he is with the key block busting B.J. Foster loose for a 67 yard TD.

Tamerik Williams goes 63 yards for the TD. See link for video

Things got a lot tougher for Angleton tonite but they turned a 13-10 lead entering 4th quarter into a 41-10 victory over Foster. Williams probably 130 yards rushing on 13 carries. B.J. Foster had a great nite too. Angleton just wore them down

Big Shootout Next Week at NRJ

Angleton (14-0) v Manvel (14-0)
