That Number 10 was great!

Ethan Chargois is going to be a PLAYER! Thought Ray looked like a solid player (he has a college ready body for sure). Agree that Jimmy Whitt will be key before McMurray is eligible. We really are going to need McMurray when we start playing better teams.

We need a player other than Shake to be a slasher to the rim to create space and take pressure off our guys. Too much passing and standing around- UMBC distrusted our O and kept Shake and Jarrey off balance.

Chargois - the real deal
Ray - solid performance, some good boards, not quite as skilled
Landrum - sloppy performance
Douglas - tight as mentioned
Whitt - flashes of brilliance, otherwise disappointing
Emelogu - almost a DNP in first half, strong finish
Shake - mostly strong performance, needs to finish stronger, but good shooting and D
Jarrey - ready to make a leap, except free throws still an issue, more polished offensively

Emelogu knocked down two 3 pointers which were huge. I think his 2nd finally gave us a 3 point lead after we couldn't get over the top for about 10 minutes. He's really beefed up too

Positives: Shake is real deal. He is going to be our first lottery pick of Modern era. Foster showed good leadership and remains a freak athlete. Chargais looks like he will be a player but he is a freshman. Team will be much better when he is a 15 minute back up change of pace big. None of the freshman looked out of their depth

Negatives: Whit looked tentative about slashing. The freshman don’t really known about spacing and the defensive rotation which makes a Big difference. We will really miss Ben Moore this year. Rebounding is going to be a problem. Hope the infection goes away soon.

You know Shake didn't even have a great shooting nite. Just 7-18 and 4-12 from 3. But it is so sweet to have a ballhandler who can knock down foul shots when the game is on the line. 10-10 on Free Throws. Its just an ingredient you gotta have. Might have gone for 40 on a good night-he had great looks

Yea it wasn’t frustrating seeing him go cold in the second half, but when the game was tied/ close I wanted the ball in his hands.

UMBC is good. Two very good players.

Offense was fine, scored decent points. Will get better when ball movement improves and confidence grows.

Ben being out and rest of foul trouble contributed to the first half defensive performance. Much better in the second half. I think we will see inconsistent defensive performance for the first half of the year until they learn to trust and help.

20 had a bad shooting game, but I did like his speed and energy.

Don't look now but Coach Tim Jankovich is now 40-5

Someone should have thrown a tennis ball on the court in the first half, those Golden Retrievers would have all instinctively gone for it and forgot about the game.

Who are these people masquerading as SMU basketball players save Foster Milton?

Did anyone mention the long johns? Or lack of a secondary.

Nice win Ponies. From what I observed there's going to be growing pains just keep putting in the work.

spacing and ball movement was an issue but Jank can coach em up and this team should get much better as the season wears on

Ray has some good solid post moves. The score he made down low was a strong veteran score.
