However, our defense is terrible. And we got lucky. I'm not sure what #29 was doing. This the GAME dude! Layout with your shoulder and stop him! Why pull back. We have very soft players, I'm sorry, especially on the defensive side.

I thought I saw one replay that showed the ball and hand hitting short, but only one time. Wish they had showed it more times.

too many to count.

This team isn’t deserving of a bowl. Feel sorry for Tulane, but they don’t deserve one either.

This team is just as deserving as any other 7-5 team. Just because our most difficult games came 3 in a row in November makes it look worse. Had the losses been spaced out it would have a different feel. Our defense does suck however.

There are 80 teams going bowling this year. 30 don’t deserve to. We are one of those 30.

do you think Chad feels like he needs to replace Malone?

As long as the bowls exist and we qualify within the rules, we deserve to go. The additional 30 days of practice are more important than the game itself.

Now if you want to argue there are too many bowls we might agree.

Malone be gone.

If CM leaves, no way he takes him.

If CM stays and retains him, it shows very poor leadership skills, a lack of toughness to make a simple business decision.

Think of how much more valuable a commodity he would be if they had won 2 more games this year.

If Chad stays I would say the complete defensive staff needs evaluation. New DC and perhaps new position coaches.

Was only able to watch the first half. Looks like I should be happy not to have gone thru the stress of watching the second half. Just happy with the W no matter how we won. Time to bowl!!

By the way, I have rewatched the replay and there is one shot that clearly shows the ball touch the ground short of the goal line. In reality the replay should have confirmed the call.

I’ve yet to notice how SMU benefits from the additional practice Not saying it doesn’t help but not sure it benefits

Well we have not had them in quite a while and the last few times we did we had a coach on perennial vacation.

I don't have much faith that after 120 days of practice that 30 more days will help our defense.

Nice to edge out a winning record.
Still a LOT of WORK to do.
