when they are desperately needed, our 3 frosh today contributed 6 points on 2-10 shooting including 1-7 from three; 1-3 FTs and 1 assist vs 6 turnovers. On the plus side, they did gather 7 rebounds and had 2 steals but all in all, the worst game those 3 have collectively played all year.
The only player who did anything today is Emelogu, and he's a shell of himself due to injuries. Credit to him for showing out.
Shame on the frosh and shame on Whitt for disappearing. Him pulling down rebounds and doing nothing else isn't going to work right now.

Have to agree but you could see this coming the last couple of games. Without Shake and Jarrey, this just isn't a very good basketball team. We should expect to lose BIG to both Wichita and Houston at Moody which is really sad and I don't give these guys much of a chance at ECU. I'm hoping they might be competitive at USF but I'm not counting on it. Throw in a 1st round loss in the AAC Tourney, and mercifully this season will be over with. This team is not worthy of any post season consideration, even if they somehow find a couple more wins and finish 17-15 or 17-16.

We are going to miss Gu's experience and heart next year. He knows he no longer has 3 point range so he took it to the paint to add what he could today. Give Dawkins credit for coming out and taking McMurray out of this game. Everyone knows he's our only scoring threat now.

UCF has had it's share of injuries, too. This would have been a good game this year if both teams had their full rosters available and it would have been quality bball instead of what we just witnessed .
Young starting 5 with no depth and walk-ons having to play meaningful minutes, put us behind the 8 ball. When you're two best players go down, you're in trouble. This is a different team which is learning on the fly. Having this experience in meaningful games will help us have a shorter learning curve next year as our depth increases.
We are in serious trouble if we have to count on Whitt as a scorer. He does a lot of things well, though and he lead the team with 11 rebounds and 3 steals today. He just needs Jarrey, Shake, Gu, McMurray and Chargois to all be scoring threats to open things up for him.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen us shoot worse. Certainly a reminder of some of the Doh low points. The start of the second half we must have had 5 offensive rebounds in a Row and couldn’t score. No wins are likely down the stretch but maybe some good comes out of the adversity.

Complete 100% BS, ES.
These freshmen have been given an opportunity to show something. Repeatedly, they are showing NOTHING.
I would be surprised and disappointed if all 4 return next year.
