Who is pushing the narrative that 18-12 is a goal or is a good season?

If we could play Tulane every-other game from today through the rest of the regular season we MIGHT have a shot at 18-12. Might.

This team will have a losing record at the end of the year. 18-12 would be a miracle

Re: 18-12 regular season...
After the UConn loss, I thought this was looking like a 15-15 team that would go 7-11 in AAC play and that was WITH Jarrey. If he's done, I have a hard time finding 4 more wins on the AAC schedule. I don't expect ANY road wins so we would have to beat Tulane for sure and then maybe WSU, UConn and USF because I think we get swept by Cincy and UCF...and would not be at all surprised if WSU, UConn & USF ALL sweep this team. This is shaping up as a losing season but Jank now has the excuse that (with Jarrey and Ray out and still down 2 'ships) that he's down to only 9 available scholarship players and 3 of them are frosh. Oh, woe is us!

That excuse won't hold with donors or the season ticket holders. I don't see how Jank is given another year.

Fire him. He knew about the sanctions and injuries a year ago and brought in a developmental guard and gave a walk on a scholarship. It's malpractice and his whining is insufferable.
Re: 18-12 regular season...
That to me was the single biggest indictment on his tenure at SMU. You cannot strike out on all your targets, subsequently give a walk-on a scholarship and then bemoan about scholarship limitations. If you cannot find a way to use the ones you have, why would you need 2 more? Also, itΓÇÖs ok to reward a kid with a scholarship while it is otherwise not being used but it should be with the understanding that he may lose it if a mid-season transfer comes in. There is no excuse for turning down top talent like Archie and Liddell. I would consider firing him now just for that.

The hatchet falls after we make an embarrassing first round exit at the conference tourney. Maybe the second round in McMurray is on in round one.

Love how twitter bashing of Jank has picked up, even with some national writers

Normally Twitter is screaming into a void, but in this case everyone needs to keep tweeting.
The Twitter campaign by the fans helps cut through the BS excuses on TV from the announcers that they get from Jank. And it's getting attention in the college bball community online.

Re: 18-12 regular season...
So SMU is now 12-8 (4-4 in conference) with 10 games remaining, including 6 vs the elite of this conference, Cincy and UCF (2 games each), Coogs and Temple and 4 vs mid-tier teams such as ourselves in USF (2 games), UConn & Wichita St.
IΓÇÖm saying we pull an upset vs 1 on the elite 4 opponents and go 2-2 vs the mid-tier teams, leaving us 15-15 overall and 7-11 in conference.
That would make our likely tourney opponent either Wichita St, UConn or USF. IΓÇÖll be generous tonight and say we win our first tourney game before reality sets in during the 2nd round.
ThatΓÇÖs 16-16 overall with no postseason invite.
Assuming this is how our season plays out, how quickly does tank get the axe and at what point in time does one get nervous that tank might actually keep his job.
