When in FW (hey, it counts as a road game!) try the Love Shack burgers in the Stockyards, Kincaid's, or Dutch's on University across from the ugly yellow campus. All pretty good burgers. I'm partial to the Love Shack, but it is a total hole in the hall.

This will show how infrequently I go to Ft Worth.

Is Kincaids a local place? I saw a Kincaids in Indy last weekend, and was reminded of some mentions of Kincaid on this thread.

Hit Texadelphia today. Ordered "The Doaker" (really, could a bunch of SMU-ers order anything else?), and it was much, MUCH worse than I remembered. Very disappointing.

I went to Texadelphia earlier this week...it really was absolutely horrible.

Kincaid's is local; it started out as a grocery store. Used to be cash only. Now there are a couple of Kincaid's (and I think the original is losing its lease). The closest to Dallas is in Southlake. Great hand-made burger.

Also, I took in the new Goff's at Preston and 635. Just as good.

Goff's isn't bad but you'd be hard pressed to beat Kellers or Jakes in Dallas.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Had Kincaid's on Sunday in Southlake. Really, really good as always. Oh, and I had a Goff burger at the new location. Just as good.

They're really good - but I have yet to try any that beat Uptown Bar & Grill, First & 10 or Red's (in Plano).

Uptown bar and grill is a great place to get a burger.

Also, try state and Allen lounge for a burger. Outstanding. I'm about to order one while watching the Memphis game. Bacon avocado burger, med rare. Awesome!!

Oscar has been seen lurking around Texadelphia lately. ;)

Uptown B&G never disappoints. Good bar food with a great burger and the Texas toothpicks are great too. Also, I've seen Brett Hull and Modano in there several times. Both are good guys and will chat it up. Supposedly, Hull is a regular.

Finally ate at Burger Island. It was an OK burger.
I have to agree with couch'em. It was kind of an upscale fast food burger.
It wasn't overly special.

Does anyone know of a great burger joint in Orlando or Annapolis? I'm planning where to eat great burgers when attending the UCF and Navy games.

Warning, if you get too far north, their idea of a burger all the way is a hamburger patty with onions, pickles and catsup. :(

Wrong - when I lived in New England, pickles were unheard of, dismissed as "something they put on burgers in the South."
