Re: Official: AAC Tournament Thread - SMU vs. Temple
Give BenE some credit. At crunch time in the first half with Ryan out with 2 fouls he locked down Cummings and hit a huge 3 pt shot when we were down like, what, 7?
Good work, young man. Every little thing that could help his confidence counts. We will need him in the tourney at some point absolutely. Build on this!

And our season average is 36. We really picked it up in the 2nd half. Sterling with 10. Love that dude! Rebounding is all about effort (well, and positioning/skill, etc etc but you get my point).Stallion wrote:45-32 rebounding edge for SMU

Notice how we changed defenses and closed out on shooters? CrazyMustangs35SMU wrote:Where's ModelT to complain and moan about everything?

Even LB acknowledged after the game that the assistant coaches have been on him lately to give teams a different look on defense.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Official: AAC Tournament Thread - SMU vs. Temple
Not quite what he said, his assistant coachs were on him to go to zone to protect the fould situation. In theory man to man is a better defense against three point shooting. In a zone you know where the defenders are going to be so you can pass your way into an open three every time (assuming you can pass inside). In man to man you rely on someone either setting a screen that takes out a defender or someone beating their guy causing the dense to help to generate an open 3.StallionsModelT wrote:Notice how we changed defenses and closed out on shooters? Sounds good to me!Harry0569 wrote:KenPom says 64-63 win
We theoretically should be able to wear them down since they are going on 4 games in 4 days (4 games in 69 hours!), but we definitely can't afford yet another slow start.
