When he says "we're close", I really do believe that. There's a fine line between winning and losing in these non-BCS leagues and every year there is some team that is predicted to be 3-9 that ends up 8-4; usually because the "experts" did'nt count on so many kids developing as much as they can in a single year.

When will it be SMU's turn to be that surprise team?
