I think our job is more appealing to the names we have been talking about. I think it will be easier to take SMU from a 4 or 5 win team in Conference USA to a 7 or 8 win team that makes a bowl than to do the same at Baylor. The pay will be the same if not better at SMU and if you are Gary Barnett, Bowden, Shula, etc, Mrs. Shula and the kids will be much happier in Dallas.

Absolutely the SMU job is more attractive than BU.

Dallas or Waco
Winnable CUSA or overwhelmed Big12
Roughly the same money

No question I'd take SMU.

Baylor is a black hole for coaches. Only a miracle coach like Grant Teaff that coincide with some down Big 12 years will bring Baylor back.
