Should be an exciting off season of coaching moves.

Michigan is now open and Nebraska soon will be as well. You have to believe Les Miles, who has an out in his contract to LSU for Michigan takes his dream job there, which would mean LSU would then be open. UCLA, Arkansas are soon to be open. A lot of high profile jobs for one season. Should be fun to watch.

Every LSU fan I know (most of whom are related to me) thinks BRStang's man Pelini should be HC if Les Miles goes.

I missed the first half of the story, but during the LSU game the other day it seemed like they were saying how Pelini's dad got the LSU job sometime around 1980 but never got to coach a game because of his untimely passing. I may have the principals wrong (i.e. maybe it wasn't Pelini's dad), but heck of a story if that's the case.

If he goes to Lincoln, they could entice him with Omaha Steaks. If he goes to Arkansas, they can entice him with Moonshine.

His wife would have to be convinced to leave FW, and I don't see that happening easily.

PAMR, any truth to the rumor of rodents at Moody? I'm kind of hoping that's the case, which would explain why perhaps a cat was brought in the other day (at least that's what I thought I saw). Made me wonder though...I'd hate to think that a cat may have been around there for any other reason.

Then again, maybe the cat (I couldn't positively ID him) was just having an exit interview with Steve-O.

The names that come up to replace Lloyd Carr are Les Miles (of course), Iowa's Kirk Ferentz because the former Iowa president is at Michigan, Bobby Petrino (no going home to Louisville?) and Jon Gruden. That's according to an ESPN story.

No, Pelini's dad was in pharma sales.

Lloyd Carr! every other name on the planet has been thrown out there, why not add another unlikely name to the pot for SMU?

Well, if Gary gets a job that pays 2+ and the perks and upscale lifestyle, the only thing she'll need to worry about are the words to George Strait's "Does Fort Worth Cross Your Mind?"

LOL There were rumors last year that Gary turned down Minnesota because Kelsey refused to move there. They offered at least 2. Who knows...

you're right. After some digging, they must've been talking about other coaches named Bo. Bo Rein was hired to be LSU head coach in 1980, but died in a plane crash before coaching a game. Quite a story...sounds like the end came in a way eerily similar to SMU great Payne Stewart.

My apologies to Bo Pelini's dad for the mixup.
