Orsini striking out?

Folks - as I told you early on in this process, there seems to be very little interest in this job. Orsini is swinging and missing. I have been told by two different sources SMU offered to both Kragthorpe and Nutt and has been turned down. Don't know but if the rumors that Greg Davis has been contacted about his interest are true this would fit with my personal research. Orsini is having to dig deep. That tells me we probably will not be happy. We may be lucky to get a coach period.
Damn it - if Barnett is interested, I don't know what Orsini is thinking not gonig for him - other than his hands are tied by TUrner or the admin. But take off the blinders and stop listening to your leaders who are telling you that everything will be rosy.

Orsini is not blind, he see's the potential. It will be Terry Bowden & Co. Said it from the start.

"there seems to be very little interest in this job"
why do you assume anything is amiss?
the mob boss was not going to name a new coach with games left to play
if we have not named a new coach in 3 weeks, yeah that might be a worry
but we are not behind schedule
why the panic?

Probably not. Terry Bowden has the whole resume for this job. He is in the same place as SMU. Trying to come back. He has the CJ connection, He is probably clean. He wants the job. Would be a huge hire for SMU. $ is probably not a problem. Can bring his bro. Jeff in as nobody cares. Kind of like me. Too many drinks and everything goes away. House, family etc. Although I don't deny what I said.

Talk is cheap, but money buys drinks. And if SMU has put together the amount of money that has been reported, people are going to listen. You don't put together nine million to hire Greg Davis. This job also has one of the biggest payoffs in Division 1A to offset the potential pitfalls. However, it will take someone special to help this University realize its football potential.
Right now, I count myself in the group that believes Orsini has already hired his man. It is incredibly, incredibly quiet from the Hilltop. There has not been word one said about any of these rumors. So far it has been night and day different from Baylor's (beginning) search. The wallets are open, the job carries a good deal of potential, and Orsini has a track record and is a very good businessman in the sports arena.
I don't have the slightest idea how this is gonna turn out, but if it's some big name or someone out of left field I'm gonna call him the Puppet Master from now on.

There may be something to the theory, that the mob boss already has made an " offer that can't be refused". With all of the eyes watching and listening, something, or someone should have been spotted if we were doing interviews.

I wonder if Orsini's sitting in front of a computer with a beer and reading all this stuff and saying "Oh boy is this great!"
