Many of you have asked for the 1980 Texas game. A true friend has sent us a copy and it will be ready to order within the next couple of days. Please keep checking our list of games at http://www.athletichistory.com/web/default.aspx

Does anyone have a copy of the 1989 Connecticut game that was on TV that we can borrow? If so please email me at [email protected] and I will give you the address where you can mail it. I will have it transferred and reurn a DVD to you free of charge.

Another friend is letting us borrow a number of games from the 80's and 90's that we will have up shortly. We are adding pictures and games weekly so please keep checking the site listed above.

We have received quite a few orders and we are very appreciative. Just remember that when you order games or pictures you are helping us to transfer new games and scan new pictures for your enjoyment.

A quick question. Games that were broadcast (ABC, ESPN, etc.), are they subject to copyright issues? And the SMU-TX A$M ABC film. And the 1978 Rice-SMU Ron Meyer show.

I have a 1980 SMU-Rice game (ESPN) and a couple of 1980 KXTX broadcast games (TCU, NTSU). Also, I have the 1951 Texas-SMU game film and the Humble game of the week film.

All these have been broadcast and I wonder if copyright issues prevent copying and selling of these films.

Didn't our favorite TE have a miracle catch and run in this one?

Our 'favorite' TE had a catch and run for TDs in both 1978 and 1980. In 1980 he also had a fumble recovery (defensive at that). I believe he inquired at Rice Athletics to see if he could purchase the North end zone at Rice.

I just want to say thanks to Gerry. I asked for a video of the 1935 Rose Bowl for my birthday (my wife forbid me from buying any more SMU stuff) and my mom and dad looked up Gerry. My mom said he was great and he even let her pick up the 1948 Cotton Bowl DVD from his home. Gerry, thanks for the great DVD and the great service. I love the DVD's.

On a related note, I have some pictures of the 1935 team I got on ebay, Bobby Wilson, Maurice Orr, Maco Stewart, and Truman Spain. I would be glad to have copies made if anyone has an interest. I want to post them on the Faces from the past thread, but haven't been savvy enough to figure out how.
