I think what makes it seem so much worse, is how well the show was written in the early 90s. I agree. I used to watch it religiously in the 90s when it was funny AND original. Definitely South Park. That show hits things so brilliantly. The Economic Disaster Episode they just showed was very funny. Especially how the Treasury Department decides what to do.
