Matt Doherty = Rally killer

And I think we know why in light of events from earlier in the day. Way to get people excited about your program, Matt. Ridiculous!

For those who don't know, somebody posted a thread about some juco guard who apparently committed. I guess it was on scout and rivals. I went to lunch and came back to read more and everything was gone.PonyLaw_aTm wrote:the we you referenced doesn't include me, I have no idea what your referring to.
so we are trying to stash him by keeping the verbal silent? If so, that's weak sauce. Give a strong verbal. keep recruiting the kid, and bring home the LOIStallion wrote:Its probably because he's only a Freshman JUCO eligibility wise and some may not realize he will transfer as a Freshman
If Stallion's premise is correct, I can understand why he might not want it released yet. He is getting slammed right now for keeping it quiet, but I can assure you if he were to do as PonyDoh suggests, and then loses the kid, he would be slammed for not being smart enough to keep the commit quiet. I can see both sides of the arguement.PonyDoh wrote:so we are trying to stash him by keeping the verbal silent? If so, that's weak sauce. Silent verbals don't exist in men's hoops, a modern day recruiting farce. What would Doh tell this kid? Kid, we want to keep your verbal silent, we're afraid bigger & badder schools will sweep you off your feet. Sure Coach Doh, I'd hate it if a Big 10 school offered me. Also kid, don't tell anyone you have 3 years eligibility left. In case no one has figured it out, everything about the way our staff conducts business is oddmathman wrote:If Stallion's premise is correct, I can understand why he might not want it released yet. Ok. So Stallions premise is not correct according to you. Then what is going on? I really don't have any idea and what Stallion put forth sounded reasonable. Since you are so adamant that this is not a "silent verbal", you must have some opinion on what is going on.PonyDoh wrote:Silent verbals don't exist in men's hoops, a modern day recruiting farce.
