Re: New OL candidate?

Do we really want to go after someone, even a big guy, who is committed to the worst team in football?
Armen has some good premium info on him at smu.rivals.com. Also, where did you get that Rivals said that he was visiting this weekend (I don't see that)?Peruna wrote:Rivals seems to think an OL from Lebanon, Tenn., named Cameron Clemmons (6-7, 260) is going to visit this weekend, even though he's already committed to Western Kentucky. Also has offers from Chattanooga, Middle Tennessee State, Tennessee-Martin and ... Stanford (so I guess grades aren't an issue).
Anyone know more about the guy?

I'm not sure it would be a bad thing to get into recruiting battles with Stanford. They recruit great students, and in recent years have collected some damn good players, too.Cadillac wrote:we're only pursuing him to try to even out our recruiting battle with Stanford lol.
Though hey, I'll take all the 6'7 OLM that we can take.

Yeah, I seem to recall hearing something about them having a pretty decent running back over there.EP Pony Fan wrote:I'm not sure it would be a bad thing to get into recruiting battles with Stanford. Fits in with being the school where Tiger Woods learned how to date.Stallion wrote:last time I looked Stanford had scatter bombed about 250 offers-probably higher now-but we know Stanford offers are a two step process. I like the guy for other reasons as a greyshirt but those Stanford offers are like academy offers-everyone gets one.
They also say they have a freshman qb that can play a bit.Junior wrote:Yeah, I seem to recall hearing something about them having a pretty decent running back over there.EP Pony Fan wrote:I'm not sure it would be a bad thing to get into recruiting battles with Stanford.
