Thanks! I'm going to be attempting more SMU writing than in the past this season, so I'll continue to post them.

We should also be favored over UCF at home...

Also, if we are expecting Brett Haness and Chris Castro to be major contributors on D, then we are way off talent wise from where we need to be.

(Just to show I did my research)
I'll agree that UTEP was a reach, especially with the game in Dallas, however they are returning two of their three leading rushers, and their second leading receiver from 2010 (despite losing 9 starters on offense.)Also, they're returning 9 starters to a defense that held SMU to 14 points last year.
As for UCF, they are returning 7 players who either started or saw substantial playing time on defense. On offense, they return 8 starters from last year (including their starting quarterback and second leading rusher) along with 5 players that saw substantial playing time (including their leading rusher.)
I know that this is a new year and there is a good possibility of different results, but please don't say I was writing blind.

It don't think it will be easy for UTEP to replace their QB. But you did say it was a reach.

Go Mustangs at the end would have been nice.......similar to the ending of your Toad, Ranger, and Cowboy articles.
I'll take a pass on these.
