More exposure in Texas could help SEC recruiting

There seems to be some difference of opinion.

"South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier also said A&M to the SEC won't change his staff's travel plans.

"I don't think we'll go into Texas," he said. "I think a lot of those high school kids might say, 'Now tell me where is South Carolina? That's where now? Oh, yeah, it's right below North Carolina.'"

Its an interesting game of cat and mouse right now. If the SEC moves first to invite Missouri, the Big 12 could very well respond by inviting Louisville, West Virginia and South Florida. Yes, South Florida, not Cincinatti. South Florida is in the SEC's backyard, as is Louisville. UT would have to hold their nose to accept this academically, but they may still do it. At that point, the SEC may regret taking Missouri first and wish they had made a more aggressive move into Texas by grabbing SMU or TCU.
