Really, they just picked up on the fact that ESPN has a major say in conference realignment? They are on top of it over there.

Let us hope some major network is telling the SEC, Big X+II and Big XII-II-I+I to take us.

If your biggest source of revenue comes from one contract, you should probably consult your buyer on what they will pay the most for. College football has long stopped being about anything else. It is a business more so than even during its initial inception when they openly payed players. Did anyone really think they would go "hey ESPN, surprise, pay for this." ESPN also has an strong interest in that they provide contracts to multiple conferences. You would you sit by and let a supplier mess up a product you are going to end up having to sell?

Don't you think there are some UConn alums in the higher ups at ESPN? I think BC had more to do with blocking Uconn than ESPN not wanting them.

Are we surprised?!
No matter what happens (unfortunately), all these schools including us will continue kissing ESPN's feet looking for income until someone or a group of schools stand up & do something about it. Oh well???

What? Bristol and Storrs are on completely opposite sides of Hartford. That's like a whole 20 minute drive. Come on man.

SMU is in a non-ESPN Conference so I guess that means ESPN targets CUSA value teams

more like 30-40 min, but the state is crawling with alums.
