NCAA all-purpose yardage record-holder Damaris Johnson of Tulsa has pleaded guilty to felony embezzlement and received a one-year deferred sentence.

Tulsa County Assistant District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler said Johnson was given the sentence Wednesday and was ordered to pay a $500 fine and perform 80 hours of community service.

I'm sure he'll be reinstated the day before the SMU game. Is that the fastest working legal system in America?

Tulsa paper reporting no DJ this season...

Johnson, a star wide receiver and kick returner, remains indefinitely suspended from the Golden Hurricane, although TU head coach Bill Blankenship said Wednesday's action "might open the door for him next year."

Would Blankenship entertain bringing Johnson back this season?

"Honestly, it's the first I've heard about it. I can't foresee anything changing for this season," Blankenship said.

i read that to mean there's a 50% chance he'll be back later this year.

unless there's a clause in his probation that prohibits him from associating with other known felons...
