your opinion is invalid. big 12 isn't going to invite anyone if Mizzou stays. they don't want a conf. champ game.

Realignment won't be done, will still need to find homes for the leftover big east schools. Never ending!

Big 12 doesn't want SMU and UH in any AQ conf. Not because they hate us, but because they are protecting their turf. Same reason they didn't want the merger of the SWC and Big 8 back in the day.

why do you think they took TCU?

Like Dutch said. If Missouri stays the B12 puts expansion on hold. That's looking more and more likely.

SEC though, won't sit on 13 for too long. Maybe a season or two but they will most likely go to 14, which means a raid of either the ACC or they take Missouri (again looking more and more unlikely). That then will have it's own trickle down effect.

unless SMU & Houston get a big east invite. then we may be hearing from them (again, just like TCU) in an effort to maintain their stranglehold

Even more of a conspiracy. Neinas wants the big 12 at 12 and he wants the MWC/CUSA merger to happen. Maybe another reason he was brought in. If he can get the big 12 to 12, kill the big east and get the merger to happen, big 12 wins. They went from life support to stabile, didn't have to give all three UH, SMU, and TCU equal playing field. On top of that 24 other non-bcs schools are happy with a chance to play in BCS game. And other conferences are happy because they can now send more than 1 teams to a bcs bowl game once cotton is added.

Texas doesn't want one. The rest of the conference and the commissioner do.
