I know I've been a wreck regarding realignment and I wanted to step up and own that. My reasoning is that I truly believe the time was NOW for SMU. We've had so many landmark moments since June got here, but this trumps them all 10 fold. Without him, Orsini, and our inner circle of wealthy alumni none of this would have been possible. I can remember watching the 0-12 season thinking this program will NEVER amount to anything. In less than a decade we are now in a BCS conference. IMO, this is the biggest moment for SMU (not just the program but the institution) in 30 years. Take a bow everyone. And sorry for the overly emotional realignment posts.
