Top 25?

I am sure we will get more votes now, but not sure we will crack the Top 25 now. Oddly enough, I think a tough win would have won us more votes. A [Patterson] kicking probably hurt us.

More votes for sure, but definitely not enough, even with top 25 teams losing and defecting from the list.

I doubt we make it this week, but I think a win next week and we're in.

People nationally don't care much about UCF, especially this year with their 3-2 record going into our game. Had they come in sitting at 5-0, then mayyyyybe we get enough to get into the top 25. However, people are also not forgetting that we got man-handled at A&M, who relative to other top 25 teams isn't anything special. If we win next week, I think we're in since USM is getting some votes as well .

I think we get close, maybe 30, but not quite 25 yet, and probably for the same reasons as mentioned above.

texas and baylor will probably drop out of both polls...
notre dame and washington will replace them in the AP and maybe both or auburn will repalce them in the USA Today

I will make a bold statement, at least by some accounts, but if EITHER Baylor or Texas are ranked above us in the polls this next week, then the system is just as flawed as everyone claims it is. I don't care how good the teams are that they got beat by, but they have both shown in the last couple weeks that they aren't top-caliber teams.

I think Texas, Baylor, Tech and SMU are pretty interchangeable at this point. Will be interesting to see how close we get. My guess is around 29-30 this week in both polls... probably still lower than Texas.

If not tomorrow, a win next week should lock it up
3 teams should drop out--
asu, baylor, ut
other top 25 losses--
michigan, ga tech, illinois
losses by others receiving votes--
florida, unc, south florida, wake, ttu
likely to drop out next week--
michigan st (vs wisconsin)
washington (vs stanford)
auburn (vs lsu)
