Big XII Live talks SMU

Once more Ric Renner (my favorite anchor ever...) seems to be slobbering over our Ponies. Him and his cohort were saying that June should be in the discussion for coach of the year and that the team deserves top 25 recognition. As much as I hate Ric Renner, this is two shows in a row that I've watched where he has a significant and positive segment on SMU.

He should have been Coach of the Year last year until that sad debacle of the Armed Forces Bowl.
I know the kids didn't want to be there, the whole black uni thing became a stupid distraction, et al., but coaches are supposed to figure out a way to motivate through those things.
But in reality, as good as this year is looking, last year was the turnaround year in my mind. Still if they want to give Coach of the Year honors to June this year, I'm good with that.

why dont we wait and see how the rest of the year goes before we break out the coronation. Great start but we are only half way.

June is a mentor but I'm not sure about a motivator. His pregame speeches are a checklist. June deserves COY consideration but I would let Reinebold speak last.

No no. Let's give him a nobel prize for what he might accomplish this year. We could even name he stadium after him or build an IPF and name it after him.

Ric Renner should win hair style of the year every year. Great that we are getting positive recognition though. Thanks Ric

I have met Reinbold a few times and he seems like he could give an amazing half time speech. Has anyone heard Reinbold fire up the team?
