Don't know about that, but I do wonder how many times tv/newspapers will screw up SMU/USM over the next seven days.

Houston would be our rival if we both end up in the Big East; our only opponent within driving distance and we actually have alumni living there

Bronco's vs Mustangs.....we will not travel well to Boise. That's not an easy trip to get to.

If Navy and SMU wind up in the BE, how often would we actually get to play them being that we would be in different divisions?

Could have a permanent crossover game like the sec does I guess.

Although, I suppose Air Force might be the more logical choice for a permanent crossover with navy...

I don't think anyone outside the northwest travels well to Boise

Since it will be two six team divisions, we should be able to play them quit often. Think of how often we play ECU or UCF even though they are in the eastern division of CUSA. We could play them every year if we got a permanent crossover between us and Navy as part of league rules, assuming Navy is also on board and no one has objections to it.

Don't see Boise as being a rival, no one will travel there. We will be the only private FB school in the Big East. Houston is an in-state rival but that game still has years to go before most people take it seriously. Will never been seen as a rival institution. If we could find another small private FB school that is also an academic peer and regionally close, that would be ideal, but there is yet to be one added to the Big East. If Navy is no longer OOC, perhaps we can have more games against Baylor, not that I like Waco. Repetition is key for building up any rivalry. If the Navy rivalry continues to be successful, perhaps AFA could also be a potential rivalry.

This has no real bearing on SMU travel to Boise, but this is one away game that I will go to as soon as possible just because I have never been to that part of the country. And if it is as much fun as it is to go to an SMU game in Dallas, I may just continue going there.
