http://blogs.courier-journal.com/ericcr ... ouisville/n fact, as I pointed out in my column this morning, from a sheer on the field standpoint — the Big East’s Sagarin ratings would rise and the ACC’s would fall if the proposed realignments were to happen today — moving the Big East ahead of the ACC into fourth in the Sagarin power ratings.
The Big East also would add major markets in Houston, Dallas and Orlando and a nationally popular program in Boise State.
I know that’s not the option that U of L fans are hoping for. But it’s a better looking situation, in reality, than the program has had the past several years.

Really the last paragraph of the article should state... I know it's not what you U of L fans were hoping for, which would be a conference that you will never be able to compete in and you would probably never make a bowl game again if U of L was to be in the Big XII,...but we might just have to settle and stay in our AQ conference that is getting stronger and that U of L may actually be able to compete in... what a [Gary Patterson] bummer...

Yeah I'm getting really tired of all the damn C-USA people over in other boards mocking the imminent death of the Big East if they lose Louisville. This conference would be MUCH stronger in football than anything it's been recently. If Houston, Boise, UCF, and SMU continue on their path, all 4 could be consistently ranked in the coming years.

Houston, Boise, UCF, and SMU have more potential than any of the Big East schools now... I'll take Boise's current success, SMU and Houston's history (each school has a Heisman winner) over any of the current Big East schools any day of the week... The only thing I envy is their damn AQ status!

WVU is legit at football. They would be rolling to mroe 1-2 loss seasons if they weren't having drama with the head coach (Rich Rodis available again)
