The Big East Conference wants to get to twelve football playing schools. And, they’re going to reach into Conference USA for three of them.
The University of Houston, the University of Central Florida and Southern Methodist University are all getting invites to join the Big East Conference in all-sports.
The league is also targeting Boise State, Air Force and Navy as football-only members.
But that may not solve all of the league’s woes.
Reports are that Missouri’s invitation to the Southeastern Conference is imminent.
That would create an opening in the Big 12 and Big East schools might be targeted as possible replacements
