The talk about RichRod going back to Tulane has begun. The talk, at least, makes sense as he's coached there and wanted the job when Bowden left - word was he was bitter and angry when he didn't get it. But a few years and a 3 year stint at Michigan allows bygones to be bygones.
Tulane needs to be talking to him now. He's one of the few known, proven coaches that could bring an immediate impact to that program that they can reasonably expect to have a shot at.
RR, for his part, needs to seriously think about taking this job. He's damaged goods now - not only was he fired at Michigan, the scandels showed up on his watch. If he wants back into coaching, Tulane has at least showed they can win with the right guy at the helm, and few coaches can walk into a solid gig, ala Tommy Tuberville, once they have been fired, fairly or not.
