Big East is thinking about a 32 team conference with 4 divisions.

Imagine non-football would play within their division. I guess the 4 division winners would have some type of playoff.

i don't feel like retyping what i wrote in another thread, but the BCS might be driving this idea. It solves some problems for them, and it keeps 96 D-1 teams viable, albeit stratified with a clear second-class, and allows the bowl system to survive. Dont underestimate them wanting to keep the bowl system alive.

Forget the Big Money we were going to get from the Big East. This would s-u-c-k. Why do this now ? The Big East would not loose their BCS status anyway for a few more years if ever. They can always do this deal with the MWC and CUSA anytime in the future if need be . So why talk about it now ?
