why SMU and uh don't play the same cusa teams?

we rotate 3 eastern division teams home/home so it would be rare to have the same schedule as an eastern division mate

Cross-divisional teams get rotated. It's just the luck of the draw. We faced Memphis and UCF which were easy enough, but got stuck with the best team in USM. We do face all of the teams in our division and the conference championship is still in our hands, but we have to beat UH.

Yeah. Houston got the good draw this year and we got the bad, but it still all comes down to us being able to win out in conference games. We are through with the out of division teams. If we beat Rice, Tulane, Houston, and Tulsa, we win the west division. Tulsa and Houston both play the same teams. The season starts today.
