Well this explains why the brakes were tapped in the Big XII:
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/27/sports/ncaafootball/big-12-may-admit-louisville-not-west-virginia.html?_r=2&ref=ncaafootballThen this:
http://www.wvillustrated.com/story/15883422/manchin-issues-statementI thought Mitch McConnell posted on this board...We need an investigation why he has not provided us this most interesting news.

wow, thats just ludicrous. Mitch McConnell is now lobbying for Louisville directly against West Virginia's? As somebody else said, where is Cornyn on SMU and Houston's behalf? The whole situtation has long ago become absurd.

Just put the SWC back together, except kick out Baylor and replace with Tulane. I would rather go to New Orlerans than Waco.

Kick out Tech instead. I'd rather go to Waco than Lubuttock.

There is a reason Congress has a 8% approval rating. They can't get much right so they decided to screw up college football even more than it already is.
As if football isn't unstable enough with market forces at play, in step the elected Bozos to put their reelection concerns ahead of the market. Bottom line is they will turn a mere disaster into a disaster of Biblical proportions. That is all goobernment knows to do and that is all it will do.
Stay out of college football. Spend your time redistributing wealth or making sure people that can't afford to buy a home have taxpayers pay for it!

The culprit is the NCAA for failure to enact a championship playoff. Newspapers in the East are screaming with articles today to the effect that teams like Wisconsin, Michigan State and Penn State with one loss will not be invited to a BCS bowl because the computer ratings have them at ranking # 15 and below. They are also bemoaning the hypothetical that both Stanford and Clemson could go undefeated and not be selected for the BCS championship game. Welcome to the stupidity of the BCS Big 10, PAC 10 and ACC. Hope all 1 loss teams and 5 or 6 undefeated teams are left out and subject to the total subjectivity and unfair stupidity in choosing the BCS championship teams. In 2014 the BCS should be either abandon as a worthless band aide attempt at a championship game and/or design a championship playoff for at least 8 or 16 teams or force a worthless NCAA to act and design a championship series. All this conference changing madness because no wants to step up and start addressing the base problem. Football demands a championship playoff.

Not the NCAA-its the combination of BCS schools that control Division 1A and are blocking a Championship

4 conferences...16 teams each...64 teams total. Winners of each division play; winners of each conference play; those winners play for natl champ. Cartel can cannibalize a sport, strangle what meek competition they (never) had, and PR spin it to make them look like saviors.
