For all those out there (you know who you are) that think we could really get bent over in the realignment process.

The BE ceases to exist after the B12 takes all their teams.

BYU joins the BE instead of SMU.

Memphis uses their basketball prowess to convince the BE schools to take them instead of SMU.

UNT somehow gets the political leverage to blackball us from the BE

Apparently Marinetto is a Democrat and suddenly discovers W.'s library is at SMU and revokes the invite.

If the BE loses both WVU and UL then they would be at 12 schools. If they only lose one, then they are sitting at 13. Who doesn't get to go? I assume they would want all the academies, and BYU and Boise are a given.
UCF is a natural fit. Looks like it would be us or UH.

They wouldn't want to do that as they want us to go to Big East so they can get into CUSA

If the BE ceases to exist then C-USA is IMMEDIATELY moving to take that BCS spot, especially if there is a decent program or two (USF or UL) available to add to the conference.

There are mulitple ways to spin each move. It's our job to make that happen.

This is a panic thread. Reasonable and thought out plans not welcome.

The BE decides their only way to remain relevant in college football is to partner up with all the remaining non-AQ conference. A 64 team conference is formed. After a grueling 11 game schedule they decide every school should be in a playoff for the opportunity to play in a BCS game. 6 rounds of playoffs later, the winner of the conference gets spanked by the 2nd team from the ACC.

Boise doesn't join us to the BE. BYU says no thanks. UH says why not along with UCF. SMU thinks their best chance is to remain in CUSA. CUSA says "see ya" and is mad that SMU was looking else. SMU goes back to the BE. They tell SMU to f'off for spurning them. SMU begs UNT not to blackball them as they attempt to get into the Sunbelt. But to no avail, UNT blackballs the [deleted] out of us. We go to the WAC with UTSA and Texas State.
