What would bcs funding give us that we can't/don't already have? Only thing I can think of is a marketing department. That might help with crowds and home field advantage, but it wont make us SEC material.

We can pay our assistant coach plenttyyyyy, and we do. considering the school doesnt have to pay anything for June's salary, that allows the school the shell out more for the assistant coach's salary. BanjoBongo is on a roll with his posts...

My family has had season tickets to Vandy football and basketball my whole life and Vanderbilt is truly an awful football team year in and year out. Despite their spot in the SEC, we could beat them most years. I have watched that team "vandy" games to teams far worse than us. That said, I think we'd have a hard time being much better than them if we were in the SEC.

I think we could compete against the lower half of both divisions. We could compete against Kentucky, Vandy, Ole Miss, and maybe Tennessee.

Bigger coaching staff?? There is an NCAA limit on the number of coaches a school can have.

I believe that statement alone shows you know nothing about this team.
