-Wind hurt us; dictates how we must play.
-Not all JJ McD's fault; he did not have much help.
-drops not good; INTs hard to come back from
-doesn't plan to change too much next week; just a "tweak"maybe. (Ya hear that Tulane?)
-ho hum; yawn

Let's keep doing what we do and don't change anything coach. Our opponents are prepared.

So I guess we better hope tulane doesn't have a 10-15 yard play over the middle to the guy running wide open in their arsenal

Well we won't have to go through security to get there.

As long as Tulane doesn't know how to run a bubble screen or a QB sneak, we should be good.

There's not a lot there to disagree with, actually.

The wind DOES affect the way the game is called. The Run-and-Shoot has short, intermediate and long passes. Use the ones that will work.

It definitely wasn't all JJMcD's fault. Several receivers dropped very catchable balls, and the offensive line didn't have a stellar day.

We have heard all year about how it made no sense that we won five games while losing the turnover battle. Looks like that is catching up to us. Nice to see Crawford get a pick, but three first-half INTs (again, not all JJMcD's fault -- the third was in Wilkerson's mitts before it popped straight into the other guy's gut) put the game out of reach.

Stubborn as it sounds -- and it does -- major changes to offensive scheme would be a bad idea. You can't alter philosophy in the middle of the season. Yes, I would like to see Zach Line get about 40 carries next week and just run it down Tulane's throat, but the offense is what it is. When we put up an average of 40 points a week for three weeks, including 38 at Froggy High, there weren't many complaints about it. It's out of sync now, so get it back on track.

After watching what appears to be the lack of personal interaction on the team (and perception is everything whether truth or not), IMHO the coaches need to put on their grownup pants and motivate the team. Stop the excuses and get a grip on what is wrong. These are 18-22 year old college kids with college drama (growing into young men). It is the responsiblity of the adults to build personal relationships to motivate the team and get back on track. Having said that it is MY responsibility to put on my grownup pants and get my butt to Ford next week. BTW, thanks to the Circle of Champions for supporting the team.

And now this offense is averaging 5 points a game the last 2 games. The QB has had 7 INTs in 2 weeks. I've seen other QBs pulled for 2 INTs in a game.....BS

Tulsa didn't seem as affected by the wind, converting time and again on 3rd and short as well as when pushed back to 1st and 20 or what have you.

Tulsa must have been wearing their special aerodynamic suits to cut down on wind resistance and then using those special spiral-tech footballs. Yep, that about explains it.

HorseSense is on the mark with me. If I'm paying a head coach $2M a year for a max of 13 games, I at least expect 12 in which our kids are fully engaged and well prepared. At $38,461.53 a freakin week, I expect somebody to figure it out. If that means one less run to Oahu, so be it.

Tommy Tuberville took the blame for Tech's dump last night. Totally. Completely. No wind issues, blah, blah, blah. He was man enough to man up. What do we get? Excuses. Somebody else's fault.

He did the exact same thing last week at lunch. "If we scored you wouldn't be asking me that ....."

-Wind hurt us; dictates how we must play.

You have to have some other option in your playbook, you can't just say that we can't play on a windy day.

-Not all JJ McD's fault; he did not have much help.

Entirely valid.

-drops not good; INTs hard to come back from

True... but did we try to make changes? It didn't look like it.

-doesn't plan to change too much next week; just a "tweak"maybe. (Ya hear that Tulane?)

This is were the aggravation comes from. After 10 points in 2 weeks, I'd hope to see some noticeable changes, whether it is play calling, mental preparation, game plan, something.
