... To focus on the fact that SMU will likely beat Tulane and Rice at home and, at worst, go to its third consecutive bowl game. 4 years ago, I would gladly traded my SMU sport problems for the current set.

...that being said, as a fan of the Rangers, SMU, Cowboys, Stars (and Mavs), the last two weeks have been a gigantic kick in the sports crotch.

Exactly. I agree with everything you said, except for the Cowboys part. Can't stand those guys.

So glad didn't keep our season tics when they moved to death star.
SMU is so much easier and better value.

I really don't know why people have season tickets to that hot mess in Arlington. The fans out there are freaking awful! Worst home experience of the major sports here in Dallas, in my opinion, and that is saying something with the beat down that is the NBA.

Is there a way to get season tickets just to support the team and donate them to someone who can use them? I don't live in Dallas but would be interested in a program like this to encourage more people to go to the games.

I totally agree, but as a Ranger's fan since 1995, I take second place again it beats the hell out of irrelevancy. If you look at the trend though went to world series got blown away, this world series went to game with a chance to win twice, next world series we should go in a sweep 4-0 us. Cowboys... whats new, its the NFL they are paid to suck, stars...not a hockey fan but hey if they win awesome, and mavs well we will see if they every play lol. SMU as bad as they have been past two weekends, worst case scenario we go to a crappy bowl and go BE, best scenario we go to a below average bowl and go BE.

Yes. Just call the ticket office. I buy an extra set and do this and they do see that the tickets are used.

But the way the team played the last two weeks, nothing is a guaranteed. Rice has been tough against Texas, Purdue, Tulsa, Baylor, and a few others. Granted they lose a lot, but they're not an extreme pushover. If our team continues to play flat, they will lose to this Rice team. Hopefully news of the Big East, coupled with an easier Tulane opponent, restores confidence to this team.

That's a good example of perspective.
