SMU is now 46
Southern Miss 27
Tulsa 37
Tulane 188
Navy 67
Houston 22
Rice 100
Based on that, we win three of the next four and end up 8-4. Which is exactly what 99% of us predicted.

Depends on which team shows up...err if the team shows up. I'm sure we all agree it's reasonable to see how this week unfolds, and how the guys respond. But, watching that game Saturday, I wouldn't pick them to win another game.

EVERY team goes through this type of thing. Why is SMU somehow magically immune? We had a bad couple of games. So what?

I predicted 9-3 and was hoping for 10-2

Simply because we have to predict based upon what we've seen. Hence, the reasonable idea that we see how the team responds this week, with a home game, Homecoming, and an inferior opponent. However, based on the play of the team over the last two weeks, especially considering the play of integral members of the offensive unit, predicting anything other than a string of losses is very bold.

Oh please. It's either we're going to win a national championship or we're the suckiest team ever around here. We ran into back to back buzzsaws and came out flat. Happens to everyone.

Fine, clearly I'm insane for making those statements based on the lack of performance that occurred on Saturday.

Your lack of perspective is understandable. But it is lack of perspective.

If the team that showed up vs tulsa shows up we will not win another game...
We just aren't that good yet....

Honestly, did you watch the game...
It was embarrassing...that team would lsoe to everyone left on our schedule...
The team that beat TCU and UCF back to back, wouldnt have lost to tulsa...So they better find that team...

No, it's not really lack of perspective. Thanks for trying, though.

Lol, yes. I saw the game. It was ugly, but teams do that sometimes.
We'll all be feeling a little better on Sunday and even better the next Sunday. Everybody here will then be predicting a win over Houston, which won't happen. So then back to despair until we dispatch Rice and are all world again.
